Amsterdam Standard Series Acrylics offer fantastic quality at a student price.

All colours are categorised as GOOD or EXCELLENT for lightfastness, with the majority classified as EXCELLENT, due to the use of pure and non-fading pigments.   The binder of 100% acrylic emulsion holds a high concentration of pigment for good strong colours, with 22 colours being mono-pigmented for great stability in mixes.

The medium consistency of Amsterdam Standard Acrylics means it brushes beautifully while retaining the brush marks.   The acrylic can be further diluted with water, or with an acrylic medium, or it can be made thicker with greater viscosity by adding a heavier acrylic gel.

Unusually for a 'student' acrylic there is a great choice of opacities from transparent - ideal for glazing effects - to solid, opaque colours which cover lower layers of colour.

Amsterdam Standard Acrylics are suited to all acrylic painting techniques, plus are useful for basic fabric painting & printing techniques (a textile medium could be added) as well as various printing or pouring techniques (the appropriate medium may need to be added).
