A discharge paste which will remove most dyes from most natural fabrics and papers. TIP: Testing should be undertaken before embarking on a project as not all dye is dischargeable.
Apply by brush, print block or silk screen.
Heat with steam iron to see the colour being removed. The process will cease if the ironing is stopped, so the colour-reduction can be controlled.
The contrast may be more apparent when washed, but only a few dyes will discharge to white.
OPTIONS: Mix with pigment-based colour to replace with a second colour at the same time as removing the first eg Jacquard Fabric Paints, acrylic paint etc. Apply Decolourant to fabric that has been previouly dyed with multi-layers of random colour for surprising effects.
Wash with Metapex or Sythrapol after use to return fabric to its natural softness.
