Chunky water-soluble ink sticks.

Dry Inktense Blocks deliver pure, intense colour, but water can be added to marks made to produce translucent, ink like colours and effects. Once those areas are dry, they become waterproof.   

Intended for the fine artist enabling layering and glazing effects without the layers intermixing (as in acrylic painting).   Because they dry waterproof they are being used more and more by textile artists on fabric.   The fabric is then gently washable at 30deg.   To get true watercolour effects on fabric, treat the fabric first with NO FLOW, or for silks AQUARELLEGRUND
