These acrylics stay ‘open’ for longer than standard acrylics making them perfect for all sorts of traditional painting techniques, as well as many printing methods such as relief printing, mono-printing and collagraph printing. One of the best acrylics around, Golden Acrylics are all loaded with pigment to the optimum degree in a 100% acrylic emulsion without any padders, fillers or dyes etc being added. This offers exceptional qualities of lightfastness and permanency as well as richness of colour. The Golden Open Acrylics are slightly softer than the standard Heavy Body Acrylics, but with a much longer drying time. Being able to work the acrylics for up to ten times longer than standard acrylics provides the ability to use some of the traditional oil painting techniques, as well as having longer to work with the paints than standard acrylics. They are also able to be used in very controlled and considered applications such as print-making techniques.

Mixing with standard paints and/or gels will speed up the drying time, making the range so versatile.
